Is it easy to replace the water pump?

Default Is it easy to replace the water pump?

2k dodge dakota 3.9. It's constantly dripping when parked from the water pump and the stop leak i had in it from before did not help lol.

depends on how mechanically inclined you are... It's a pretty in depth job.

Well it depends what engine you have the v6's are a little easier to do the job on than the v8 and after you get the pump off flush your cooling system REALLY good that stop leak might get you out of a jam when your on the road but all it does after time is clog stuff up and is no good its basically meant to stop the leak until you get back to where ever your going and get it fixed its not meant for a permanent fix

its pretty easy. the hardest part is getting the fan clutch off. Do a search, all this is well covered.
