what makes the 2003- 2004 dakota lift different?

It has nothing to do with the brakes. It has already been said...the difference is the rack and pinion steering. The truck didn't have a rack n pinion setup in the earlier years of the generation.

i hear you. i have heard of some people still using the lift kits for the 02 but they had to do something to modify the steering. any one have some pictures or know how it was modified?

Yeah, im stuck between buying a 3rd gen dakota or i just found an 04 with a 3inch suspension lift on it from when rancho had them out with 33s on it both quad cab i just don't know what i want lol

Never heard a lift for an '04 being 'good'; i.e. well made/adapted. If they fabbed it right(the installer), then it might be cool. I'd be jealous...

yeah me neither idk for sure what it is, he bought it with it on there and it rides nice and does good so idk. it looks sweet, if i get it ill post it up

if you look at the parts book 03-04 brakes are diffrent this is why you need to modify the calipers to fit 15" wheels which hads been covered several times on here

i will for sure, i should be picking her up next week to prove it. i didnt believe it either but it sits higher then myn and it dont have a body lift
