Hi everyone I have a 97 2wd dakota 3.9 auto. My ? is I have a 98 ram 2wd with a 5.2 I want to put in the dakota. Will the motor and trans from the ram bolt in can i get a engine compartment harness from a dakota with a 5.2. And will it just connect to the fuse box without having to do any wiring. I guess i would have to get the computer to. will this be plug and play. Any and all help will be appreciated.

 

It should all fit in just fine. You will need the computer, and getting a harness will make things a lot easier. You will have to swap some wires, I believe from the underside of the fuse box or splice them, not too bad though.

Ok my next problem with the swap is the trans speed sensors are different original was 3 wire 98 ram 5.2 trans is a 2 wire and they install differently any suggestions
