Hey guys, this is probably a stupid question, but I figure I may as well ask to be sure! I'm trying to figure out if there is a switch or a **** or something to switch between outside air and recirculated air in the cabin when I am heating or cooling my vehicle. I hadn't really though about it much until recently when the weather got really cold in Northern Ontario, and I'l like to recirculate the warm air in my cabin instead of constanty heating up outside air that is -30 degrees celcius!
It's a '99 Dakota Sport, 3.9L V6 Magnum, RWD, automatic.
You can have it on Max A/C with the heat turned up, right? I do it on my '01 all the time as it helps to reduce humidity, too. Not that you have much humidity at -30°C.
from a fellow Canadian if you find a way to recirculate in the winter the inside of the windows will fog up faster than you can shake a stick from your breath. i have seen it on another vehicle where my friend had it on recirc by mistake.

That's easy enough to fix, run max A/C and it will dehumidify the air.
Wait a minute? Isn't that what Robbadodge suggested?
