I have one of these 2.5 liter dakotas. It has the 5 speed manual with a 3.90 gear in it. (limited slip ive found) its a great little truck, but way down on power. Im thinking of converting it to the 5.7 hemi. Found the conversion kit with motor mounts and oil pan. Ive thought of everything i can do to it, yet essentially its not the best engine for the truck. anyone elses have a harmonic balancer scraping the timing cover. i best maybe 22 mpg combined
