Default 2001 Dodge Dakota 4.7 V8 Trans temp Light

I had my truck parked for about 5 months, the only thing that was wrong with it is the PCM needed to be changed. I would often run the truck for a few minutes every week, I had changed the PCM and now it will not start. The TRANS TEMP light comes on, I had tried starting it in neutral this morning and it almost turned over but it seemed to quickly die out (like the battery didn't have enough juice), there is half tank of fuel in it.

any suggestions?

I'm no expert on this but I think there is like a code in the PCM and the timer module that must match like a matched set so unless you matched that the PCM will never let the Truck start.

I think its your Vin number must match in the PCM and the timer module

As I say I'm no expert on this 00DakDan may know the answer

The VIN won't keep it from starting. If it starts and shuts right down then that would be a security issue.

Do you have any codes? Starting with the key off, key on (not start), off, on, off, then leave on. Codes will display in the odometer.

A low battery can make your truck stall.

OK, the cluster seems OK. I'd really like to know what the battery voltage is.

Lets back up a bit. Why did you change the PCM in the first place? Has it run since?

OK, it used to start then stall and now it doesn't start.

I'm still wondering about the voltage. Can you beg/borrow/steal a voltmeter? They aren't that pricey.
