I have had 2 of these in the storage pouch on the back of my passenger seat since I bought my truck 2 years ago. Does anybody know what they are? The nickel is only there because I had nothing else good to use as a reference to size.

I have a 2003 Quad cab sport in case that helps. The only thing I can come up with is that the truck has a hard plastic bed liner, so maybe they belong to something underneath that?

 

damn, that looks like a dime, so like 4-5" diameter? And two of them?

I have no hell of a clue.

 

Ha! Is it a dime? I took the picture a week ago, and my phone crapped out before I could make a post. Totally forgot what I used, but come to think of it, I don't have any quarters in my truck. LOL. UPDATE: after looking back at my picture in better detail, I see that I used a nickle. I will update the original post. Thanks for pointing that out!

 

still, a nickel is 3/4" and a quarter is 1". Whatever it is, it's still huge and I have no idea.

 

Well it looks like a center cap for a rim, but they look a little too big and are black... hmm

 

They're a little too flexible for a rim cap too. I thought about that when I first found them. I've even looked a a friend's truck who has the same exact model, but a year newer. I can't seem to figure it out. One buddy wants to buy them for $10, but I don't know what he'd do with them, he owns a suburban. I know he likes to resell stuff for profit though, so I think he knows something I don't!

 

Kinda reminds of the drain plugs in the bed (or elsewhere) but those are usually oval IIRC, and I can't remember if they have the logo. Of course, those would be under your bedliner.

I think they go at the front of the box to cover the hooks that are built into the bed.

I have the factory drop in box liner too and I would think they go here:

I think they are bed liner hole covers. My Mopar bed liner has the holes, but not all the covers. The access holes are for the hold down clamps for the bedliner....
