What oil are you running and how long has it been doing this? What filter?
Don't know what else to add. You're probably going to have to open it up to find out what's going on. Do you want to go that route or the boneyard motor?

Physically it will fit. Sometimes there are differences between sensors etc. Just use what you have on your current truck.

Any good junkyard will have an interchange manual so that whether it fits or not it's on them.

Any 3.7 should fit. You might have to use some of your existing parts.
