Jeez. Somebody woke up in the wrong side of the bed.
12.5's are a stretch for a 10" rim. I was talking to a tech at trail ready beadlocks and he said he'd be nervous putting a 12.50 on a 10" beadlock much less a 10" wheel. He said that the 8.5-9" wheel is for 13 and down and 10" is for 13 and up. Otherwise the sidewall gets too straight and can cause issues with trying to unseat, especially with rims but even with beadlocks.
That said, on drag wheels it's preferred to have a square wheel width and tire width since you want the sidewall straight up.

JD, Welcome to the forum.
The forum is searchable and you should be able to find some posts on swapping tires/rims. They may not be an exact match however.
I agree with Magnethead on the rim width issue. You might get away with the 10" but 8" would be more typical. It also depends on your usage.
Good luck.

The best thing to do is if you check the tire manufacture specs it will tell you point blank the rim width requirements meant for their tire..
when i looked at my BFG Mud Terrians 32x11.5 it was up to a 10 on a 11.5 w Tire.. but if you look over at lets say super swamper 31x12.5 (i think was the size i know it was odd size) it was a max width of like 8 which was weird in my opinion and 4wheel parts told me flat no because the bead seat would not be right and the tire would crap out too quick..
So it all depends on the tire it self and how its designed..

Depends on the tire.. they are all designed for certain rim ranges.. for their bead seats to properly sit and tire shape and all those design characteristics..
Looking out youll find that the bottom line is if you put X tire on X rim it's not recommended for though some* shops can set the bead (some wont) it might 'work' but at the expense of accelerated wear or problems with the tire handling blah blah blah..
IMO..... I'd rather be with in the manf. specs and be safe.. than to make it 'work'.. like I just put 32's with -25 offset is rubbing bad once i got alignment.. so i have to put body lift ididnt want to do.. i took a risk to try and 'make it work' but looking back 31's with the other rims -6 offset though would not look as good would have been better..
but since i tried and make it work.. its costing me more in the long run.. but in my case its working it self out cus i really like it..
in your case if you burn through the tires like most will tell you will if the tires are not meant for that rim size.. your going to be replacing them premature.. might not be worth the trade off.. you might want to get tires that work for your rim better... or you can just take the risk.. physically it will fit.. but how they perform if its not recommended for those tires is the question.
