Hi there I have a 97 Dakota 4x4 V8 318 automatic. We are looking around for parts and doing research. I have messaged someone I saw on here already but nver hurts to get other advice or opinions. We are having a hard time finding NV3500s an not sure I want an NV4500 in there, but maybe?? Has anyone put an AX15 behind the 318? The truck is stock right now, and I do not off road or drive hard. I have seen 50\50 yes and no for that question. My truck is already set up for everything, we just need the parts. We recently did my boyfriends 2500, so the Dakota will be no problem for my mechanic boyfriend. What parts did you guys get? How hard was it? Wht tranny did you use? Etc. And just for know how, has anyone used a 2wd tranny and converted to 4wd? If so, how? Any and all advice and tips would be greatly appreciated!
