Default Paint Code

I have a 1998 as mose know. It's White and a Silver Gold looking color. I looked in the Door jam and found the paint code for the WHITE PW6. I can't find the other code anywhere. If you look under my profile you can see my truck any ideas on the other code.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but my 2000 Dakota is the same color, the driftwood satin glow, paint code PFA (Although on my registration it calls it pewter ! )
I'm replacing the damaged tailgate on mine, probably one from a different color truck because I'm having trouble finding a donor truck of the same color.

I found that I can get 11oz cans of spray paint to match ($24.95 at Expresspaint.com,although hopefully somewhere else does it cheaper)
How many of these cans would you say it would take to do a Dakota tailgate?
I think also I would need clearcoat too right? How much of that would I need?
What about once its painted and clearcoated,is that it,or does the clearcoat need to be buffed? I ask only because I havent done it before, but feel I am capable. If it turns out that it would cost similar to get it done at Maaco or Earl Shreib,I might do that to save time and hassle.

thanks guys

I have a lot of experience in body work. I would try to stay away from the spray cans if at all possible. It is hard to apply an even looking coat with a can, especially when you get it in the sun and look at it. I recommend using an actual spray gun with an air compressor, if you can find one to use. As far as how much you will need.... I painted my whole truck with one gallon, so i would surmise less than one quart would be more than enough to do a tailgate. Make sure you sand the clear coat off of the tailgate before you try to begin painting it. Also, hitting it with primer before adding any color is a good idea just so the final product will match the rest of the truck as much as possible. You dont have to buff it when you're done, but it will look better if you do.
