Default Dodge Durango 2005 w/2 dead keys/FOBs

My dealer tried to rip me off as far as I can tell. Both keys went bad, due to a loose battery bracket. In both cases, it is repairable, but the dealer didn't tell me. They said with programming it would be $250/key for new ones and I need two new ones. Instead, I opened it up, with screwdriver, and saw the problem myself. It is nothing too serious, just a lousy, poorly built bracket for the battery. If they are going to make it CHEAP and poorly design it, then dont charge $250! In my opinion, Dodge should be held accountable for making it so poorly.

I'm thinking of buying something called " Wire Glue" to tack those connections down. Any one tried it?

Thanks!

I was having the same problem with both of my 05 Durango keys. I located a place in San Diego that reattached on battery clip one one key and resoldered(sp) the other key as well. Cost: $25.00
They are a TV/Electronics repair shop, but they had no problem fixing me right up.

Company name: V-Tronics Solution
Phone: 619-265-0973

Dont even know if Ill remember to lock my car anymore since I have been keeping it unlocked for months. :-)
