So I think I have a bad trans. Went to work this morning, started 15min before I left because its cold up here and ran just fine. Got out of work, truck started, wont move. I give it a little gas and nothing. I can't get it to move at all unless I get it to 5K. I only did it once, parked it, and I am having it towed in the morning. Any thoughts? It sounds like a torque converter, but it is tripping an engine code (which I can't check). I heard of a solnoid that can cause the issue, but I highly doubt it. Please any input would be helpful. Also, are there any good aftermarket builder/rebuilders? I just paid the darn thing off too...Damn you Murphy and your stupid laws!

Limp mode would allow it to move at least...I can't even do that.

So had the guy look at it, and for whatever reason my tranny fluid foamed up. I check the level cold and warm and it was spot on. So we swapped out the fluid and filters again and I am rolling once again. My concern is with 167K on it how long til the next blow up, and what the heck caused the foaming? Even my tranny guy was perplexed.
