Does anyone know if the auto shutdown relay needs to be programmed? I went to a repair shop who confirmed my suspicions that the relay is marginal / bad but they are telling me it needs to be done at the dealer because the relay needs to be programmed to my VIN and mileage.

The ASD relay does not need to be program, But the FCM or TIPM module does.
