Default Transfer case has me bummed..

Well tried to get some fresh ATF+4 in my transfer case unsuccessfully. Couldn't break lose the bolt on the fill hole. Tried the longest breaker bar I could manage under the Dango. The drain plug loosened easily... Guess I'm gonna have to shell out cash to my mech.:ugh

Timar:

I have done 3 T cases and never had this issue. Try hitting the upper plug with some PB Blaster a few days in a row, and you will get it out.

Case is aluminum and plug is steel. Should not be in there forever.

Yeah. I have PBlaster. I'm gonna hit it every day until I get another chance to really work on it.. I tried really hard. Afraid to strip the 10mm hex socket using the breaker bar. Can't imagine for the life of me why it is soo tight.

The parts can cause galvanic corrosion if one of the parts is aluminum an the other is steel and the parts get wet. Throw in some salt from the wet winter roads and you made two parts into one.

This sucks. I using this hex bit below along with a breaker bar. I'm gonna keep working with the PB blaster.
