I have a 2004 durango SLT with the hemi. The problem i am having is the hi 4 lock light flickers while sitting at light and then today I made a U-turn and the light lit up and it felt like I was in 4 lock and evenaually the light and the feeling it was in 4 hi lock went away. My question is, what would be causing this? and is it something I can fix? the timing of having this problem wasnt great it almost made me late for a job interview. Any help would be great!

 

Transfer case?

 

you might have a shorted wire or wire that is loose. could be between the 4x switch and ECU or between ECU and transfer case shift module thingy. you could check with an ohm meter and jiggle wires around. other than that your switch could be bad, tansfer case shift module could be going bad, ecu could be bad but not likely. Any codes showing?
