Default front driveshaft removal = better MPG?

As it says...anybody tried removing front driveshaft in the summer to see if it helped with MPG. Since there are no lockouts on the front hubs I'm guessing it wouldn't help much.

It might seeing how nothing in the front would be turning. Don't know if it would be enough to justify the trouble.

Everything would still be turning in the front half of the T-case and in the front end. No lockout hubs means axle shafts, spider gears, R&P would all still be spinning. Just that the T-case wouldn't be putting power to the fronts.
I guess I answered my own question.
