Default 315/70/17 05 durango

Question on this and i have been getting mixed views. I currently have 265/70/r17's on my 05 durango, I just picked up a set of 315/70/r17 I read an article that if i just turn down my tortion bar they will fit as long as im not doing offroading. I very rarely do any trail riding maybe more on the Ice. anybody put these size tires on? I have stock rims I want to fill out the gap is all. Hope some one can help Thanks in advance.

Thats doing almost 3" increase in diameter and 2" wider. Thats a pretty big difference. Even cranking the torsion bars, I imagine you would run into rubbing issues when turning.
