Okay , FNG here. Just purchased an 08 Durango and settling for a lovely relationship. So it was a bare bones SLT and did not have OEM fog lights in the bumper cover but I noticed that the leads for the fog lights were there. So... I purchased the new bumper cover with the fog light cutouts and the OEM fog lights and thought this is gonna be great and nothing.....
Does anyone know if I need a different switch or relay or what so that these leads will light....

Did you get the factory switch as well? Might need to take it to the dealer to have them "activated" unless you are bypassing the factory switch and hardwiring your own switch and relay.

 

No just the switch that was there already... there does not appear to be a difference. The wiring feeds right into the harness for amber running lights built into the headlight.....Okay, "activated" ....any idea what that entails? thanks

 

The dealer has to "turn on" the feature via a sarscan tool. It's all software related.

 

Ah okay , makes sense, lets hope that is it.
