1998 Dodge 2.7 Intrepid
I have two questions. One, where is and what does the knock sensor wire look like on the 1998 2.7 Dodge Intrepid engine? The second, where does the Torx head bolt (only one found in all the bolts) go on the engine? I rebuilt this engine and these two problems was encountered. Any help to let me know I darn sure would think highly of it. FRR

I didn't think a 98 canme with a 2.7. The first gen had a 3.5 & 3.3 The 3.5 had the knock sensor, and the 3.3 d/n. The 2.7 second gen engine (2000 & up), did also have it. If you have the 2.7 second gen engine, go to the holy grail (link https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...oly-grail.html) and see pg 8l-6. If the 3.5, it has two below the intake manifold.

I agree, my mistake, I did not know which generation this 98 belonged to. I found out the hex head bolt was for the chain tensioner behind the head plug on front of the heads. One for each side. Now, the problem comes knowing if the wire feed to the knock sensor is one or two wire feedback. I have only one showing but will have to peel the wiring to see if anyone of my good buddies think it may have been cut. This forum is kinda hard. It seems that no one can answer a simple question but only tell you that you are wrong posting a question in the wrong place, if they were very intelligent at the least instead of like me then they could have easily told me about the wiring or the bolts but as it is no one knows. I think they never knew!
