Default 02 Radiator Fan Replacement

Ok guys. 2 questions for you. First, I am going to have to take on the task of changing out the Radiator Fan Assembly on a 2002 Intrepid w/ 2.7L Engine. Just looking at it I can't figure out how to get the assembly out. There isn't room on the top nor on the bottom. Instead of just removing a ton of unnecessary parts I figured I'd ask you guys.

Second, we are ordering the fan assembly and need to keep driving the car while we are waiting, if possible. The driver side fan is seized up the other one is fine. The Seized fan has blown the fuse(Fusible link). I was wondering if I could unplug the driver side fan and still be able to use the passenger side fan.

Let me know thank you. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have replaced that assy. in our '02 Intrepid. You have to take off the top radiator support. Once you get that off it's pretty easy to pull it out from the top. I did notice while doing it that the electrical connectors were quite strange the way they did it. I was wanting to just disconnect one fan while I waited on the fan assy., but the way they did the electrical connection didnt make that possible. Dunno...I've slept a few times since i did it ...just remember something weird about the electrical.

Red face

As for the radiator-I had to replace that too. You have to remove the top radiator support, and I remember having to almost completely remove the bottom radiator support (I basically swung it out of the way) and had to drop the radiator out of the bottom side. It really wasn't too bad.
