Default New Poblem

Got the car to fire al 6 cyls, now I went to start it up and it sounded differnent like it was out of time,no compression, checked timing and it was off by 3 teeth on the crank, cams were still in time with each other.Car runs like crap!!!!!! Is there a possibility that when we tried to start with it out of time that the pistons/valves could have crashed and bent the valves? Anybody have a set of 98-04 3.2/3.5 heads laying around that are good eg. no bent valves/good seats, have valve seals if they need them.

Default Compression Test

Did a compression test this afternoon lowest reading was 155 psi to the highest (cyls 5 & 6) of 180 psi so im guessing I dont have any bent valves. Not sure what to do now.If anybody on here can help me please do.Can call me for all I care 304-480-9651 Robert

Default Update

Talked to a tech at my local dealer he said its out of time, there are 2 marks on crank sprocket.Cams are timed correctly all I need to do is move crank to the "other" TDC mark and it should run,if not gong to trade it n on a new Kia,local dealer is giving $5000 trade-in on anything.

Default Fixed(sorta)

Got the Intrepid to run had 2 things wrong with it.
1 There is a grounding capacitor on each side of the motor, one for each set of cyl's.The one on the pass side was broke therefor making grond sometimes and not at other times.
2 The crank sensor and camshaft censors are out of sync.Start the car with cam sensor plugged in and it runs like crap unplug it an it instantly runs like it should, you can even start without it plugged in(whch is how I got it home).Only problem is it is now in limp mode and will only run about 2,800 RPM so have to take to dealer tomorrow to have the sync'd.
