Default 2003 interpid over heating problem

months back the water pump was leaking and had the waterpump, timing chain, tensioner and guides replaced. Now the other night the car broke down and had it towed home, the towtruck driver said it sounded like the alternater took a crap since he was able to jump it with a jump box to pullit on the rollback. So I replaced the alternator, and the next day when my wife got home it was overheating and stalled. Let it cool down ,then started it and let it get hot again but no over heating so when i stut it off it started venting....so i popped the hood and found the radiator had a spit in it. So ,bought a new core and replaced it last night and drove it for 25 miles and no problem. Today the wife came home and said when she stopped today at a friends, the temperture light came on and the antifreeze was boiling in the fill bottle. I'm at a loss....thermostat maybe?Any helpful ideas?

thermostat, maybe... If it is thermostat, just check Radiator upper and lower hose, if they are Hot and Warm, thermostat is fine. check if your cooling fans are working. how long has she been driving with it overheating? it could warp the cylinder head if she drove to too long overheating.

well, possible thermostat or head gasket.
does it help if you blast the HEAT to max inside of the car?
