Default CD Player Won't Eject...

Hi,

I have a 2005 Neon SXT. I have the stock CD Player and I put a burned CD (TDK brand) in today and it works fine, but I can't eject the CD out. When I hit eject, it just goes to the radio but the disk doesn't pop out.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

i had that problem once, but it ended up coming out eventually then i never had a problem, try sticking another cd in there to push it in, and then try again, you can also take the radio apart to get it out which would be a pain, and you need torx screws for that

No you don't. I took my cd player out by popping the trim piece off of it. This was awhile ago mind you...but there should a couple phillips screws holding it in, then it just pulls out, unplug it and you can take it out of the car. Now I took a bunch of mine apart because mine is broken, but I couldn't find anything wrong. But I also didn't take all the guts apart inside. I will someday though. However mine has no torx screws.

Hmm... ok..

Does it sound as if this CD Player has bit the dust, or is this just something I need to manually remove?

Thanks,
Chris

Just wanted to let you know that I have had the same problem. I have a 2004 Neon. I have learned that you have to be extremely gentle with the cd player. Insert the cd's easily and they will come right back out. I wouldn't recommend any that might have printed labels. As far as any one that might be stuck, the simplest way is to just wait. Usually after the cd player has heated quite abit or even when you first get in the car. Try that - but I think you should go ahead and invest in a new cd player.

Had the same problem with a burnt CD, and it had no labels on it, just black sharpie. I took my car to the dealership and they put in a new one for free and it workd fine, never had a peoblem since. Take it to the dealership if you still have problems.

bahh...humbug....try and reach in there with some tweezers or needle nose pliers...or....two butter knives...or something....try and pull it out AS YOU ARE hitting the eject button...if worse comes to worse and you break the cd player just go to the dealership and say "this thing sux it broke and ate my cd" lol
