Mystery problem
2001 Neon
The last few days its been missing here and there with codes P1684 and 0340 popping up. Well, Sunday it just quit while going down the road. Just so happen I was coming from the parts store with a new cam sensor (code 0340). Replaced it while sitting there on the road. Still nothing. Engine turns over but would not fire. BTW, no codes this time when it died. Had it towed into town where it sat overnight. Next morning, started right up. No problems. I drove it around town and it "hiccupped" twice but kept running. No engine light/code. I've wiggled, pulled, shook everything in sight and can't get it to miss. I just read another post where factory ground was the cuprit. Any chance of that the case or something else I am missing. I need assistance.
BTW - had it put on the computer at the shop and everything checks out fine. He said he needed it to not run find out whats going on. Bummer.
