how do you check for vacuum leaks?

RE: how do you check for vacuum leaks?
The easiest way is to buy a can of throttle body cleaner. Then, turn on the engine and spray the cleaner around the throttle body, intake, intake manifold, cylinder head, and vacuum lines. If the engine RPM increases then thats where the leak is coming from.

Easiest way is with a scan tool watching fuel trim. If the trim is real high due to false air and returns a lot closer to normal at 1500-2000 RPM then you have a leak.
Then the easy way to find it is with a smoke machine.
After that MAPP gas or Propane UNLIT OF COURSE to richen the fuel mix when you find the area leaking. Or a Engine Ear or stethoscope with the metal thing off using the hose.
