I see you ripped the front emblem off. Good man. Cleans up the front end alot, that was my first mod actually. Then debadged...and a whole lot more after that. As you can see it's nothing like a 2000 anymore.

As for performance...What is your budget? If you don't want to digg too deep into the motor there isn't much you can do except intake exhaust/manifolds ignition etc. But then again, I've only got a catback, ebay intake with K+N filter, a few delete mods(PS & AC), amsoil, and I have noticed a mediocre difference from stock. Mostly sound to be honest but I'm happy.

If you are a cheap mofo and just want it to sound dec, take the lid off your airbox. It will sound like a monster when you do.

The airbox lid makes a great little storage tote for your trunk to throw your ice scraper and a couple other goodies in there if you do decide to take it off.

Try getting a different intake and taking the lid off. You can feel a difference in acceleration and sound. But, its not a huge increase in performance. (if you're low on cash)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought taking the lid off the stock airbox would minutely decrease your power due to pulling in warm air from the engine bay rather than cooler air from the fender.

It didn't seem to really make a difference for me, other then it was louder with the lid off. I drag raced mine with lid on and off and times were about the same.
