Default Odd problem with cable clutch/Pedal

I just had a new cable put in my car. 3 weeks later a plastic piece that holds
the cable to the clutch pedal broke off! okay mechanic said it was plastic and old. *alright*

They buy a new piece from a Dodge dealership and put it on only for me to realize that it falls off! I can simple take my finger and slide it off the clutch pedal..am I missing a clamp that holds this part on???

I was told I'd need a new clutch pedal assembly, But I don't buy that.

Any advice would be awesome.
Nick.
