Cool 6 cyclinder fit in Neon??

Hey, I have dodge Neon SXT 04 model. Its a great car, it has roughly 80,000 miles on it. I have no trouble with the car or anything. It runs well and seems to do just fine all around.

I am just coming back from a deployment in Iraq and now that have saved up some cash, I am wondering If ANYONE has any information or has even heard of someone being able to replace a Neon engine with an old school 6 cyclinder or any 6 cyclinder for that matter. I am sure it can be done and i am sure it will run just fine, but I am just looking for some information on what type of engine to look into.

My whole thing is that fixing up and trying to vamp up my neon is just a hobby of mine. I have a lot buddies in service with me; all with great skills when it comes to cars and I am pretty sure we can try to hook it. But like I said the big deal is ..... WHAT 6 cyclinder can fit.

thanks

I personally think it would be a tight squeeze but anything is possible.

well the 3.0 SOHC is not a very big chrysler engine unlike its better brother the 3.0 DOHC which is found in stealths. The 3.0 SOHC can be found in dynastys/new yorkers but it has to be a 88, caravans, Shadow ES, Sundance/Duster. I know of a 1st gen done with a 3.0 SOHC and supercharged it's crappy built i know that but it's deff possible. Link to the site http://v6neon.homestead.com/V6SRT.html Like i stated above not well done but shows its deff possible.

why not just do a 3.0 DOHC twin turbo awd from a stealth rt/tt? I think it would be better and it would still have a dodge engine in it well actually a misti motor.

maybe you guys will like this neon. It's a 03 with a 2j (supra engine) with a pt106 turbo. In case your wondering it's a 106mm turbo it's HUGE. By the way he was on 2gn but he hasn't been on since feb.

Because nissan is way cooler than dodge, and power potential on a RB26 is like 1400hp

and the 2jz neon is badass

lmao nissan is way cooler than dodge? really? I have seen 1400hp stealths and by the way a 4g63 which is the eclipse, talon, evo engine thats a 4 cylinder that can go to 1400hp too. I don't see what your point is with enough money you could get a 1000hp or so out of the 2.0 in your neon. Anything is possible but this is just a pointless arguement its like saying my 3 cylinder yugo is faster than your 3 cylinder yugo.
