Default tire help

I have stock 15 wheels on my 2004 sxt neon and I was wondering how wide of tire I can put on those rims. I now have 185/65R15 on he car. I am wanting something that is going to do well in the curves of the smokie mountains.

You can fit a tire wider than what the car will accept without rubbing, if that's what you are wondering.

-I have stock sized, 185/60-15 Cooper CS4's on my Neon. They handle the mountain roads and turnpikes great. I drive from Ohio to Myrtle Beach twice a year with no troubles whatsoever. Plus as an added advantage, they are probably the best all season tire I've ever had that that gave me great traction during the winter. Check them out.

Matt

I had 205-50-15s on my 2002 sxt neon when i bought it. They looked good and had no rubbing or clearance problems. They needed replace when i got the car so not thinking i put the stock size back on. The 205s rode smoother and with less noise. Stock tires look dinky on a neon.

I think the best looking rim and tire combo are the 17 alloys on an srt-4 neon. I only have the 15s but would love 17s

I want to say a 215 or 225? One of those two are the biggest you can fit without worry IIRC.
