I'm brand new to this site so stick with me if I'm unclear. I have been trying to replace the illumination bulb in the gear shifting bezel. I took the bezel off and have everything open and disconnected except for the damn light bulb housing itself. I cant get it to retract from the hole. There are pieces to push inward but I've tried several times and no luck. Am I doing something wrong here? I have a 2000 neon btw.

 

You've got to get it just right. Nothing else will make it come out; you are doing it right.
