I bought my car used and have only had it for 2 months. I initially noticed a problem when I was accelerating. I would push the gas and the engine would rev, but it wouldn't catch into gear. This was very random and didn't happen every time I drove it, even. More recently, I felt reverse start to go out, but it would still go. Now reverse doesn't go at all.


I got codes p1790 and p0218.


Some shops say I need a whole new tranny, some shops say it might be a solenoid.
