'04 Neon 2L Rev's High & then Idles Rough After Valve Job
I had a burnt exhaust valve on my '04 2.0L Neon, so I pulled the head and had a local engine shop redo the head.
After reassembly, the engine starts easily, but rev's almost wide open for a second, then drops to a very rough idle. Any ideas on what to look for?

What I've done so far:
1) Checked that all sensors are connected properly.
2) Pulled TPS and checked w/ ohmmeter. It responds smoothly when the shaft is rotated.
3) Made sure the throttle cable is not binding.
4) Removed CPS and checked to ensure machine shop replaced the magnet on the end of the camshaft.
5) Put a code scanner on it, of course most of the system status monitors have not been set. But it returned a code P2074 which is not in my manual, nor is it in the range of codes my scanner supports. Read online that P2074 is for a transmission friction error E? The car hasn't been driven yet and my scanner doesn't claim to return error codes for the transmission. Maybe the code was on the bus and readable? Maybe totally irrelevant to my current problem?
