Default 2005 Sxt Stuttering Problem

My Dodge Neon 2005 has been having major stuttering problems. It mainly happens when trying to go up hills it'll drop down to 20-25mph and wont go any faster but it will also happen when I'm just driving regularly. I believe it happens when it tries to shift gears but not 100% sure.

I drove on the highway today and it was horrible. I couldn't get the car to go past 60mph without it stuttering none stop and it barely made it past 60mph; maybe 62mph. The car also started to die on me on the highway. What I mean by that is the gas stopped working but all the lights were still on and after pulling over and turning the car off and back on it started to work again.

I took it to Auto Zone a while back and had them test the car. I don't remember what all the paper said but two things was a nod module(which we replaced) and a timing belt. Would a timing belt cause all these problems?
