Default 2003 Neon timing belt broke - bent valves

Shop says the valves are bent after doing a leak down/compression test - car was going 75 when belt broke.

I have read about buying a head off a wrecked car as a possible fix -

If so - id like to find one - if anyone on this forum has any insight into this approach and/or has an old head lying around - let's chat

Thanks

Probably a lot quicker for you to call your local junk yards. Welcome to the forum.

I got a completely rebuilt one for my 05 for $150 plus $35.00 fgt. from a company in West VA. 800-266-5599. They shipped it right out and I got it quick. This was with head, valves and springs. They also sell it with cam and rockers for an extra $100. If you are capable of doing the rest of the job switching over the cam and rockers should be easy. Quality seemed fine. For all the work it takes removing the head, I cannot see a junk yard being much cheaper. Doing the entire job cost about $500.00 and 2 full days working on it. Just finished the job this morning, have not even taken it out for a ride yet.
