I feel your pain, my mom side swiped my R/T backing out of our garage with her Magnum a few months back...total damages with labor and parts came to $1,972.00 for my car and $970.00 for hers (thank god for insurance!!).

That $988.77 was not just the labor costs that was the cost of everything, I just thought it was ridiculus the amount of labor time they supposedly need. (Paint labor is about $400 i think). Yeah, my SXT has a clear-coat and it has a semi-rare color also. It is the Mineral Grey Metallic, a.k.a. Charcoal, color. You think we should tell the insurance company? I mean would it drive up my dad's rates?

I would just get the fender, have it painted and install it yourself. They are very easy to take off and put back on. It takes me about 15min. to remove mine. It would save you alot of money this way!

all you do is remove the wheel, then the spash sheild, then their is two screws in the engine bay, who holding the bumper to the fender (kind-of a pain to get too) use a 10' extension for those, one at the back of the fender by the door, two under the car, and finnaly a torxs screw for the plastic vent under the windshild. All the bolts are i belive a #10. Sounds like a lot but really not that much!!

Well thats how body shops make their money. It cost me 4100 when I got in my wreck. That is still ridicolus though. If anything just call somebody shops and ask them how much it would be to paint it and buy a new fender and install it yourself. Hopefully you get it fixed soon. But there is no way that it should take more than two hours to install.

Yeah we are still shopping around but we can't install it ourselves right now anyway becuase of the weather. I am pretty sure I will have some rust issues, but hell, its a new fender so no rust! ha ha ha

*Trys to think of some smart remark...*
nope I got nothing.

Oh yeah I have another question for you guys. One of my best friend's dads is the manager of a GM dealership, do you think he would be able to fix my dodge or not? I really don't see a problem if I get him the fender. Of course GM doesn't make a paint color like my car so do you have any idea on how much it is to custom mix a paint color?
