My dad ran into my car yesterday while it was sitting in the drive way. Now I need a new fender.
Do you guys know of the cheapest place to get a new driver's side front fender for an 04 neon sxt? The cheapest I found is $150 and the shipping is free. (I did find one for $108 but shipping made it $170)
And what does CAPA Certified mean?

yea id say your gonna have to bite the 170 dollar bullet... the 2nd gens are still too new and our parts are still in great demand so your i dont think your gonna do much better than that
well i told him to right after it happened, but we got the estimate from the body shop and it was $988.77!!
They "need" 7.4 hours of labor...for paint.
They "need" 3.2 hours of labor...for installation
It is ridiculus! We are going to try one or two different ones but if not we will buy the fender, probrobly take it to the dealer ship to get it painted and installed. (or just painted and have my school do it for cheap, since there is no labor fees)

I'd go back and slap some reality into that body shop. Someone's trying to screw you royally. You should be getting a brand new OEM fender, paint, and installation for that kind of price.
To put it in perspective, I had the passenger side bed on my Dakota hit. Total cost of the damage was $1066 dollars to repair, repaint, and re-clear coat. Mind you, this damage and repainting covered more then 2 of your fenders....and they couldnt take this body part off. Your fender comes off and is a solid piece.
Understand however, that OEM paint is usually expensive to have done.....especially if you have a clear coat. They have to match the current setup on your car. I'd be telling your dad to call the damn insurance company, he does have insurance...
