Suspension Lift Kits
#21
I really don't blame the loss of agility to the BL, it has more to do with the 35's. I had my 285's on for awhile after I did the BL until I could get time to go get the 35's on, and it pretty much drove the same as it did without the BL. But once I put the 35's on, I noticed a decrease in how well it all worked. I still woudn't change anything, and the difference is not that big of a deal. I notice it beacuse I am **** about that sort of thing. If you where to ask my wife, she'd say that it is no different then when it was all stock. She thinks it still handles that same (like a pickup).

Finally I can vote. I decided to go with a 2" daystar leveling kit. I was VERY suprised but I put my 35" Mud Grapplers on my rims put the kit on and have NO rubbing at all!!!!!
Like the lift I put it in by myself in about 2 hours (love air tools) would have gone quicker but the shocks were a little hard to get in. I will say I was a bit concerned about a leveling kit not making the truck sit level and the front end is about 3/4 of an inch higher but it isn't bad. Looks like a whole new truck now.

Thinking of adding a few inches. But most kits I can afford go with the blocked rear. NO THANKS! I would like to at least add-a-leaf, the leaves I have now drop like a stone when my camper is hooked up... maybe a 1/2 ton thing but it is almost terrifying to drive on the highway. Any one have a suggestion for a budget of $750-$900? Feel free to PM me so I don't take over this forum. Thank you in advance!

5" rough country suspension and 3" Pro Comp Body lift .The Rough country lift is very good for price , simple instructions and well made components, defiantly not top of the line but it takes all the abuse I throw at it . It has blocked up rear and I have had no problems at all , they interlock with the stock blocks .

I have a 7 inch suspension lift. Some parts are custom, but most parts are from BDS. If I remember correctly I have about $1200 in it. BDS has a "no fine print warranty", you break it, they replace it free. Even though I've cracked a couple brackets and could have just welded them, got replacements with new powder coating!!

OK i have a question i have a 98 ram 1500 with 2 inch spacer in front and like 2 inch bloak in back, would it work to put a 5 inch spacer and 5 inch blocks or 5 inch spacer and 4.5 inch add a leaf, how would it look and is a body lift diffrent than those lifts? plzz help

These trucks came from the factory with 3" blocks in the back. I dont think i'd like a 5" spacer on top of my coils, I'd just get a kit. There's alot more youre gonna need than just add a leafs and spacers to go over 3". If you already have a 2" lift I'd just go with the 3" body lift to make it a 5" total. That would be the most cost effective way. Once you get over a 3" lift and 33's it gets expensive fast.
