Pictured is the t case saver (not tightened yet) and the emergency snap ring I used from Tru Value when I discovered that the original ring was missing.
Blew a wheel cylinder on Friday evening. So I learned how to replace brake pads and wheel cylinders. I learned enough that I won't do it myself again and pay a professional.....LOL I bled them too but pedal still feels a bit spongy. There was no hole to adjust rear brakes either???? Is that done by jamming on the brakes in reverse?
Finally found some parts that didn't cost me an arm, leg and my first born son.

The guy had 3 trucks to choose from. I chose the one with aftermarket headlights, but, forgot to grab the bulb retainers He lives about 3 hours away, so I'll check around a few places to see if there's a possibility they may be able to get them up here. As of right now, I have some 16G steel wire wrapped around the rear of the headlights and into the grooves on the housing. Looks a little cockeye the way it is now, but whatever lol, I have both lights again

Is this a common enough of an issue for me to look into doing it over the next summer? 98 1500 with 130K miles
It's at least worth checking. All you have to do is take the extension housing off.
But for 40 bucks. It may worth it too you to just go ahead and replace it anyway for the peace of mind.
Did mine at ~160k+/-... the clip had a good groove worn in it, but it was in tact.
As everyone else is saying; it is good cheap insurance/piece of mind.

Thanks! I will probably end up doing that this summer. Wanting a reliable work truck for at least 6-8 years so I figured do it right the first time through.
Finished painting the sides and rear of truck yesterday, doing the front tonight. Then wash, polish and wax this weekend then I'll post some pics.
