What Did You Do To Your 2ND GEN RAM Today?
Changed oil & filter, broke PCV valve off at the valve cover, pulled the valve cover, replaced the PCV valve, installed new rotors and ceramics, installed new bully hooks on the bed, fixed my tool box lock, swept the dog hair out, cleaned the windows and dash of all the summer crud. Tomorrow...to the shop to have the rear differential housing rebuilt and service the tranny, front differential and transfer case. Thursday, grind and paint the rust on all 4 fenders, and install new flares. I'm waiting till next spring to buy the new door shells.
New bypass hose
New thermostat and gasket
New top and bottom hose
Water and antifreeze (technically thats on the list for tomorrow)
Turns out my bypass hose busted a big ole hole in the bottom, so got her torn down the rest of the way today, new parts in, and began reassembly, however, thanks to the rain I couldn't finish.
Replaced factory blue fog lamps that had been chipped and cracked from rocks with matching clear ones, and added two LED fog lamps. and Replaced the 9007's and 9004's with Napa Premium White Lights. Light is still yellow but the illumination from the driver seat is pretty pure, better than my old bulbs thats for sure.
The LEDs are pretty damn bright for how small they are. 1320 Lummens and they put out a 35 degree patern. Not crazy but should be the little bit of extra I was looking for. Spent some time in a parking garage though and thing I have all 6 lights dialed in.
edit: only now looking at these pics do i notice the bit of damage visable on the driver side bumper from when my buddy backed into me with his Taho! (hedlamps crooked and the bumper bulging against the light.
Next up, winter tire shopping. gov. pressure solinoid/sensor, Helloooo winter weather.

Completed my pre-winter check on the 98 for hot heat, belts, hoses, lights, tooling, emergency gear and fire ext. charge. This will be my first, using mud claws for snow conditions. The 98 is the winter truck. K.
Edit: last months oil change did all lubes, anti-freeze, windshield washer reservoir, differentials and power steering under full service work order.
Also, always wanted to comment on truck above this post^01 Ram, it's what my 99 truck should look like in black, (nice truck)!
