Thanks guys. There is absolutely no rust, benefit of living in the northwest. Paint clearcoat is wearing in a few spots but everything else is immaculate. I try to keep up on repairing everything that breaks. I fear the dash cracking some day. She's in the shop getting the trans checked, and needs a heater core. Love these trucks, I always turn my head and look when I see one pass.

Gave her a bath and v7 wipe down then it rained like an inch the next day/night.

Some day I will have all you have listed in your sig beeker. That is one really clean truck, wish mine was that rust free.

Thanks, didn't happen over night. Just did a project with her every summer and over the years I guess it's really come a long way from where it was when I first bought it.

That Durango looks like fun!

Thanks, it was a blast to drive. I had a whole new exhaust that wasnt listed in the sig along with a shift kit and stuff. That is one of my current projects after an accident last winter. Goes to show how tough these dodge trucks are!

From the crest to where I hit him is less than 1/4 mile and he had his signal on until I was less than an 1/8th mile away. He then moved to the right so I tried to go left but he stopped and as you can see by the damage I couldn't quite get over. We both walked away unscathed. This thread is gonna be dedicated to the resurrection of my baby that saved me lots of injury. Oh yeah, I now fully support seat belts even more than before, same with air bags.

Fit an entire sectional and 5 bar stools in the truck this weekend! Thought after all this moving it deserved a good cleaning.

Hey everyone- I'm getting my Dad's '98 1500 sport 4x4 (w/ the 5.2 and ext. cab). I'm looking to do my first ever lift, and I have a few options narrowed down and didnt know if anyone had pictures of things like it. Was toying with either a 3" RC susp. lift and a 2" PA bl, and throw either 33s or 35s (x12.5x17) on it. Or, I was looking at the same bl and tires but the 2.5 RC level lift. The final thought was the 5" RC susp. lift. It would be my daily driver with trips off road.
Any thought, suggestions, or pictures? Thanks!

3" lift is fine for 33's. (with no body lift.) 5" lift is perfect for 35's, again, no body lift. My take on it? Skip the body lift, figure out what size tires you want to run, and do the suspension lift to make 'em fit.

Also, you likely have 3.55 gears in the differentials, and they are kinda bad with 33's, but, they really suck with 35's...... Regearing is not an inexpensive endeavor.

Welcome to DF!

Default 2001 Ram 1500 new rims/tires

Well here it is, new rims and tires on my 2001 1500 bone stock (no leveling kit). I put on 305/70r16 Mickey Thompson Deegan 38's (33x12.5x16) on Amercian Racing Baja rims. Fits perfectly, minor rub on angles at full lock turn, but just a little bit. Love the new look.
