Did your weld come apart? It's a tight interference fit so even if it did break I don't think it could go anywhere. Plus the cam bolt is covering it. I couldn't find a replacement key anywhere and the stock key didn't have any signs of wear so even if I did source a new key I think I would have the same problem.

 

I got some more stuff in the mail and mounted the heads and put the lifters in. Can't do anymore on the engine until I order a couple more parts, but I can work on the exhaust and get the cai mounted I got from tincan with the gasket that came. My spark plugs I got say small engine on them but they are the right part number. Will they work?

 

Put in my pushrods and put on the rockers. Also put in the front cover seal and new cam key and I got the last of my parts in the mail except my reflex header gaskets which are m.i.a.

 

Headers look pretty nice! Let me know if your collector flanges leak or not, I still haven't gotten mine to seal up

 

Put the timing cover, water pump, and balancer on. Temporarily put on valve covers and oil pan for painting.

Made some progress on the exhaust. It's taking longer than I thought it would.
