Talking my 48 cummins powered pickup build

I picked up the 48 a few weeks ago and it is very clean inside and out, originally planed to drop my 4bt in it, but scoared a 95 cummins for $700 with a built 12 valve and built 47rh, now the 48 cab is going on the 95 chassis because the body is shot on the 95,

Here is this weekends progress

The cab is just sitting there and still needs to be fitted and moved forward about 6-7" and going to shorten up the frame about 35" once the cab is mounted

Awesome looking build but HOW IN THE HELL did you score a 12 Valve and a transmission for that cheap?

Tow company had it, appearently someone loved this truck at one point, it has A LOT
More extras on it too, but looks like he took the wrong path and got into drugs, it got impounded, no one came for it, and the tow company didn't really know what it was, just that it was very rough, he even looked a little dissapointed taking that much $ from me but I couldn't give it to him fast enough! It still ran and drove great! Just looks and smells like a POS

i think you should leave the frame alone and just put a long deck on it. i think it would be so cool

I'm still tossing around a lot of ideas as it goes along, and thought about that, but I think it will be way to long to look right, but you never know, once the cab is slid forward into position, I could flad bed it, it would be like a trailer you can drive haha

lol. i personally like long trucks. i think it would look like a old truck like you would find on a farm with a long flat deck. kind of like this

I had to take a second look at that pic. the power pole made it looks like it had a ridiculously long stack on it on my phone. lol

That one does look good wolfie, its about 99% chance it will be a flat bed as I can't shorten it enough to fit a bed,

And dodge dude.... ya it pretty much a sure thing on the stacks, but I am going to do something a little different with them that I haven't seen on the street yet ;-)
