Default Mopar Cousins?

So now that I've been going to college...I've noticed that the gas in my truck is getting to be very expensive....I don't want a car because....

It's not a truck

It won't have the same V8 Roar that my truck has

The car won't stand out as much

However...I don't really have a choice..
I was looking on craigslist and I found a 1964 AMC Rambler Classic 660 with the small straight six. The 192 or 196? Something like that hahaha Well I figured that would be the car to get since it was just restored and he only wants $3500 for it. I know that Chrysler bought out AMC so it would technically be a Mopar....What do you guys think?

Just get a beat up neon for under a grand and leave it on the side of the road when it dies

So you want to get a 50 year old car to replace your Ram as a daily driver? Restored or not, imo not a good choice. Like Ham Bone says, get a cheap beater. If you got $3500 to spend, there are a lot other, more reliable, newer cars that can be had.

Dont bother with the rambler. I would bet finding replacement parts for it would be real fun. Just get something that'll last you until college is over, blow it up, and get a nice truck after you pay off your skool loans

Another idea is to get a cheap motorcycle. Drive your truck when weather is bad, and drive your 50mpg bike when its not.

Just buy a car and put a loud sound system in, problem solved.

I've been looking for a little Honda civic or crx. I wouldn't mind having a neon too just to be a daily driver. But mostly kids my age have them and tear the crap outta them.

My trucks getting worse mpg week after week since I keep adding parts to it.. Even getting another little car that gets 25+- mpg would be great. Knowing me, I would probably start modding it too..

Possible, but all that money you save on gas turns into truck mod money. Which when you stop driving it a lot you'll start to miss. And thus making those times you get drive it even more fun. Thus making you sink more money into the truck

Plus with another vehicle you can do bigger mods due to not having to worry about down time. Like axle swaps and 408 stroke rebuilds
