Nah, I think you're confusing those with the Smart cars.







*For the record, if I cut out the wheel wells in the 76, I COULD haul a Smart Fortwo in the bed. Granted, that would be with he tailgate down, but still.*

2500 so I'm sure it has a class 4. Up to 10,000 total. Altough I'm sure that number is rated lower than its actual capacity

I actually just ran out & checked the trailer hitch. It's a class 3. 5,000/500 tongue.

If you've got a Class 3 you don't have a stock Dodge towing package.

i assume it's a class 3. but the sticker on the hitch definitely said 5000/500....10,000/800 (i think) with weight distribution.

That's a class 4. Manufactures normally won't let you go over 5000 without weight distribution. But a class 3 could never tow 10,000 regardless of weight dist or not

It's a class 3, Just went through this myself a few months ago. It's a good question, why Dodge would put a 3 on a 2500. And mine is even the HD version truck.

Weird. Somethin' ain't addin' up here.


The Trailer tow group is supposed to have a Class 4 hitch....I have the trailer tow group, yet my hitch is the 5000/500 hitch.

Lots of class 4 recievers will say 5000/500 OR 10000/1000 with weight distribution
