As progress continues the 285/75/16 are about 8% taller do they make a easy speedo gear change and if not will this screw up the PCM
second question I have a friend that is a tire dealer and has a set of 285/75/17's that is slightly used what year dodge would work with my truck? as far as a 17 inch rim and i am assuming fitment should be an issue

Check at Transmission Center for speedo gears. There is a chart just down from the top of the page that will tell you what gear you need. (30 tooth for you, I do believe)

I think most Ford, and Chevy 8-lugs will fit as well. Ford had some nice aluminum slots for a while.....

as usual thank you!I would assume the backspacing will be close on the off brands and will check it out, yes the 30 tooth would be correct
this is a great site for this type of usage
http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp

and actually using this site these rims will work

Considerable fitment for 1996 Ram 2500: 7.0`` seems too narrow. Minimum recommended width is 7.5``. Other parameters are within OEM specs. See what else fits

She mentioned to change the color though too

Nice V10 from my point of view.

Just a quick update on the Dodge..I removed the running boards it looks a lot better and I am debating the using tube running board or tube step..
2nd I scored 2008 dodge ram 17'' rims 150$ and found a set of 285/70/17s Cooper Discovery with about 8/32 left for 50.00, maybe last the summer and cheap enough to use for size just in case i don't like them that tall or a possible 4.10 gear?
3rd. purchasing electric tow mirrors (black) Ebay 165.00
4th. K&N air Filter
5th. 2" leveling coil kit, and 1.5" Add-a-leaf
yet to come window tint and Tonneau Cover and still deciding on exhaust
I will get a pic asap when I get the leveling kit installed
One other thing a buddy of mine gave me a mopar performance PCM from his 95 V10 to try
