the time is coming for engine work
I was changing oil in the ol' girl a couple weeks ago and saw that the passenger side bell housing was pretty wet. I looked into that and it appears as though the head gasket has started to leak. I could see the freeze plug on the head and it looks dry as does the head down until the gasket. I have noticed the coolant level slowly drops in the overflow. It doesn't run bad, but power feels down slightly and gas mileage has dropped down to about 11, which I know is about normal, but considering I was getting 12.5 average...
When funds allow or when it completely gives up on me, I plan to get the Odessa heads on it and put the 1.7 RR on it. Beings it's a 95 there's not much I can do performance wise. Any other suggestions on what to do? I'm not looking to make it a hot rod again, because I'm going to be in the market for a 2011-14 3/4 ton hemi, but I want it to be reliable because it's the cleanest 1995 ram you will ever see and I still want to show it off
