What brand and type headers is everyone running? I'm in the market for headers and summit has some cheap pacesetter imitation headers and was curious on people's opinions towards other headers and exhaust systems.

 

I had JBA cat4ward headers on my durango (also fits the rams) and that was by far the best seat of the pants power gain mod I did. I had the JBA y-pipe as well.

 

Im honestly not sure what are on my 5.9. i found them at the junkyard and only paid 30 bucks for em honestly if the price is right even tho there not pacesetter brand id give em a shot. Definitely a good mod

I'm happily running Pacesetter LT's, & Y-Pipe.

 

What's the benefits of short and long? Because the long look cleaner but the shorties are a direct bolt in for me.

 

LT's will give a little better performance gains (better scavenge), but these are sized for the 5.9 and are theoretically a little large (tube size) for the 5.2... not that I've seen a problem, and the more complimentary mod's I do, the less an issue that is.

They're a tight fit on the 4x4, but fit fine on 4x2... other than having to also change the Y-Pipe, they are a direct bolt up... it will push the cat back and you'll need an extension cable for the down stream O2 sensor (if you choose to keep the cat)... Use the plug saver trick if deleting the cat.

 

Pacesetter long tubes with 3 in duals. Yours will probably sound a bit different than mine. Check out the vid.
