Guess you lost the oil drain plug on your car Gary. You should put a spark plug wire on it and see what happens. ;-)

So Rusty's Off-Road has just came out with these new ball joints. It will be interesting to see how they hold up once rigs start getting them installed. Because they fit the D44 Jeep axles I am going to SWAG it and say they should also fit our D44 axles .

Yes $600 for the set is steep but if they last 2x or 3x as long as stock joints they would be worth it.

Wow. Nice, but, definitely pricey.... Are you going to have clearance for the lowers between that tower sticking up, with the zerk fitting, and the U-joint??

I'm not sure what you will have to do to make room. Until we all see a set installed on a axle it's all just speculation.

Hey guys (and gals), I need some help:

I have a 2006 Mazda 3 with the 5-speed auto. I went through the steering, suspension, and a lot of regular engine maintenance last year and had the car running great. Come this past December, the transmission started acting up and has thrown a code (Shift Servo E Stuck Closed). Here is a link where I posted the issue on a Mazda forum. The pump whines line a 2-year old on start-up, so I'm guessing there are some internal issues.

My main problem is finding a rebuild manual for the FNR5 transmission. Ford uses a variation of this transmission, so I cannot use the Ford version. I found a great video, on YouTube, where the tech walks through teardown and rebuilding of the transmission. I figure I can do the job for under $1,000 (including upgraded parts) versus $2,500 for a professional.

I would appreciate it if anyone can assist with sourcing a manual.
