Good idea or not?

That truck was far from gutless. I cut the intake runners on the plenum and, along with a new Gibson catalytic converter, opted for a Flowmaster muffler that was 2.5" inlet/outlet. I shamed many the fool who thought he would cut me off in traffic and stick me in a bad spot. During one trip to Texas, I was able to achieve just over 17.5mpg (my navigator and I ran the numbers several times).

Get the LMC dash. Really good quality, fit, and finish. Took me about 4 hrs taking my time and having lunch between removal and installation. Been working great for almost 3 years now. Careful with the under dash as its also plastic and will be cracked in places.
We can hear your truck idling fine but when I tried platinums, they fouled, blackened my exhaust tips, and it lost power and mileage. That's what we're talking about. The engine will idle fine with any plugs in there, just may not run as efficiently.

Doesn't seem to be. It is slightly different color, texture, and 'softer' to the touch. Has more give/flex. If it is the same plastic, it is a much improved version. The old plastic is like glass. Super brittle. And the LMC was almost 300 too with perfect fit, finish and install. I highly recommend it. Can't tell it's not oem unless I tell people. The other brand was genos but that one has bad reviews for NOT good fit, finish or color as you have to trim it, paint it and massage it into place.
